Alistair Whitby, Council Liaison Officer and Administrator

Alistair Whitby studied Art, Biology and English Literature at high school and on graduating in 1999 he set up and ran an eco-gardening business. Travel and voluntary work in Europe, India and Australia then followed which led to a deep interest in international affairs. Alistair undertook a degree in Politics and Philosophy at Exeter University which culminated in a thesis exploring the role that NGOs can play in influencing global politics. During this time Alistair also attended the UN Summer School programme in Geneva led by the NGO QUNO. Since graduating in 2003 Alistair has worked with a number of civil society organisations including Oxfam and joined the WFC team in September 2004.
