Lars Knöpke, Director, Donor Relations
Lars Knöpke is fundraiser, marketing professional and trainer for both of these fields. Before working for the World Future Council, he served for 8 years at MRM Worldwide, a global agency for digital and relationship marketing. There he led the Online Team and held the positions of Account Director and Head of the Account Team. He was CEO of the nature protection youth organization Rhineland-Palatinate (1990-1992) and councilman for the Green Party in the city of Luneburg, Germany (1996-1998). From 1997 to 1999 he established and led Kurs ZukunftsPiloten, an educational leadership programme for capacity building of environmental NGO’s. He successfully raised the funds for the continuation of this programme. Lars Knöpke is one of the co-founders of Action for Solidarity, Equality, Environment and Development, Germany (A SEED) and has been chairman or board member of several German NGOs.
