Manu Sankar Subhagalal, Liasion Officer – Delhi, India
Manu Sankar Subhagalal has obtained a Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai and studied Political Science at the University of Hyderabad. Since 2006 he works as a Research Assistant in the Research Foundation for Science Technology and Ecology (RFSTE) /Navdanya, New Delhi. He was engaged in a project on rural livelihood and sustainable land use and has produced a report on the corporate hijack of land in India. At the present time he is working on energy issues. Along with Dr. Vandana Shiva he has co-authored a report called ‘Biofuel Hoax’ which focuses on the threat to biodiversity and food security due to the promotion of biofuels in India. Manu coordinated the International Conference on Gandhi, Globalisation and Climate Change, held in Delhi in February 2008, jointly organized by Navdanya and World Future Council.
