Board of Advisors
The Board of Advisors (BoA) advises and supports the WFC in fulfilling its mission. Selected by the Executive Committee (EC), BoA has no executive function in the WFC, but rather acts as an advisory body to the Council. To this end both the Council and the staff can request the support and advice of BoA, and its members can initiate proposals to pass on to the EC; but the adoption of any such proposal is solely at the Council?s discretion.
Membership
BoA members are invited to join the Board by the EC. Eligible candidates include: potential councillors who for one reason or another were unable to join the Council; individuals with specialist knowledge or expertise; selected supporters and donors; and representatives from partner organisations. The total number of members is presently limited to 50, all of whom serve in a pro bono capacity.
