Organisation
The Council with its up to 50 members meets once a year in Hamburg to decide about a work programme.
The Supervisory Board advises, supports and monitors the Management Board and approves the budget, the annual audits and the activitiy report of the Management Board. Three to five members of the Supervisory Board are elected by the Annual General Meeting for a period of four years. The Supervisory Board monitors the implementation of the work programme decided upon by the Annual General Meeting.
The Management Board manages the World Future Council Foundation and represents it legally. It draws up detailed plans and proposals and reports to the Supervisory Board and the Annual General Meeting. Its three members are nominated by the Supervisory Board.
The World Future Council has its Head Office in Hamburg and further offices in London, Brussels, Washington D.C., and Addis Ababa with a total of 18 full-time and freelance staff. The World Future Council Foundation is registered in Germany. Its finances are subject to strict auditing by external auditors and by the Hamburg Charity Commission.
The World Future Council had its 3rd anniversary in May 2010.
